The organisers of Melbourne Meets Modi, a community reception being planned for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have begun sending RSVP invitation emails to registered participants and Welcome Partner Organisation members ahead of the 9 July 2026 event in Melbourne.

The Australia India Foundation, which is hosting the event, has advised attendees to check their inbox, spam and junk folders for official communication regarding their registration.

According to an event update seen by The Australia today, Melbourne Meets Modi, RSVP invitation emails have now been sent to all Welcome Partner Organisation members.

“Please remember to check your Inbox, Spam, and Junk folders, as some invitation emails may have been filtered there,” the update said.

“If you have already completed your RSVP, no further action is required at this stage. You will receive further event updates from us in due course.”

A separate registration poster said general registration RSVP emails would begin being sent from 29 June 2026.

The organisers have urged people who registered for the event to complete their RSVP at the earliest once they receive an email.

The poster also states that if a person has successfully registered, they will hear directly from the organisers and no action is required until they receive further communication.

The event is being promoted as a community reception in honour of the Prime Minister of India and is scheduled to take place in Melbourne, Australia, on 9 July 2026.

Promotional material for the event features the Melbourne skyline, Indian and Australian flags, and the Australia India Foundation branding, highlighting the event’s focus on the Indian-Australian community and the bilateral relationship.

The RSVP process appears to be taking place in stages, beginning with Welcome Partner Organisation members and then moving to general registrations.

Organisers have asked participants to monitor their emails carefully, including junk mail folders, to avoid missing their invitation or RSVP instructions.

The Melbourne Meets Modi event is expected to draw strong interest from the Indian diaspora, community organisations and supporters of the Australia-India relationship.
