A 47-year-old Vietnamese woman has been charged over an alleged attempt to import a commercial quantity of methamphetamine concealed in a shipment of coconut water into Australia.
The woman was arrested following a joint investigation by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and NSW Police Force, which began in December 2025 after Australian Border Force (ABF) officers discovered illicit drugs inside a shipping container declared as containing coconut water.
Police will allege the consignment contained 800 litres of coconut water mixed with liquid methamphetamine.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a unit in Macquarie Park, Sydney, on 4 September 2026, arresting the woman at the property.
Police allege the address was connected to the intended final delivery location of the shipment.

During the search, officers seized several digital devices, which are expected to undergo further forensic examination.
Police allege the woman was responsible for funding and coordinating the attempted importation.
She was charged with importing a commercial quantity of methamphetamine under section 307.1 of the Commonwealth Criminal Code. The offence carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
The woman appeared before the NSW Bail Division Court on 5 September 2026, where she was refused bail. She was scheduled to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on 4 November 2026.
