The allegations against Roberts-Smith relate to five separate killings of people in various locations in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan in 2009 and 2012, where he served with the Australian Special Forces.

This decision has been taken after most member states refused to entertain Pakistan's request to allow the Taliban regime to represent Afghanistan in the meeting.
The crash killed 42-year-old mother Nancy Lefrançois and her 11-year-old son Loïc Chevalier, who were travelling in a passenger vehicle struck in the collision.
