Several products sold in Australia contain heavy metals such as lead, arsenic and cadmium. These substances are known to cause cancer, heart disease and organ failure.
The government has also proposed cutting the number of overseas students at Australian universities, ostensibly due to concerns over exploitation of the student visa program.
