Minister Brooks said the initiative was also about expanding opportunity across the sector and supporting thousands of existing jobs in Victorian defence manufacturing.
Across Australia, the top five international visitor markets in the year ending March 2026 were New Zealand, China, the United Kingdom, the United States and India.
The expansion comes alongside a broader package of increases to social security payments and family assistance measures that will take effect from July 1.
