The Victorian state elections will have a record 740 candidates contesting the 88 Legislative Assembly seats and 454 candidates in the Legislative Council seats.
Women aged 18 and above will take part in the main sports and games, while children, partners and parents will be encouraged to attend as supporters, with a dedicated kids’ zone
