At 35, Balen Shah is the youngest person ever to serve as prime minister in Nepal’s history. His government is characterized by a remarkably youthful leadership, with 10 out of the 15 ministers under 40 years of age, making it one of the youngest cabinets in the world.
Nag’s achievement carries historic significance because she is widely regarded as the world’s first quadruple-amputee para-archer competing at elite international level.
In a joint statement backed by more than 30 organisations, it warned that previous protests framed as peaceful had “led to harassment, intimidation, and violence against Hindu Canadians, devotees, and temple management”.
