An ordinary Uber shift turned into an unforgettable Hollywood encounter for Gold Coast driver Pardeep Singh when he discovered that his passenger was none other than Australian superstar Chris Hemsworth.

Singh, an Indian-origin Uber driver based on the Gold Coast, was stunned when the man who entered his vehicle turned out to be the actor best known worldwide for playing Thor in Marvel’s Avengers franchise.

Sharing the surprise moment on Instagram, Singh posted a video with the caption: “Chris Hemsworth in my car,” as he documented the unexpected celebrity ride.

The video quickly went viral, with Singh later sharing his excitement after the encounter was featured by Australian media.

“Hemsworth around ⚡🔥,” Singh wrote on social media.

“Even 9 News couldn’t believe who was sitting in my car!”

Turning the moment into a celebration for Marvel fans, Singh added:

“From a normal drive to getting featured on national news with Chris Hemsworth (aka Thor) himself!”

Hemsworth, who lives in the Byron Bay–Gold Coast region, has become one of Australia’s most recognised international actors through his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is also known for films including Extraction, Rush and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

For Singh, the experience was a once-in-a-lifetime memory — a routine day of driving transformed into a brush with one of Hollywood’s biggest names.

Sharing the excitement with Hindi-speaking followers, Singh also captioned the viral moment:

“जब गाड़ी में खुद असली Thor आकर बैठ जाए!” (“When the real Thor himself sits in your car!”).

The encounter has delighted Marvel fans online, with many joking that Singh’s passenger was not just any rider, but the God of Thunder himself.
