Fiji and India have reaffirmed their longstanding bilateral relationship, with both nations committing to deeper cooperation in security, digital resilience and capacity building.
Fiji’s Minister for Policing and Communications, Ioane Naivalurua, met with the High Commissioner of India to Fiji, Suneet Mehta, for discussions on strengthening collaboration across key strategic areas.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in cybersecurity, law enforcement coordination, digital resilience and skills development, reflecting the growing strategic engagement between the two countries.
Minister Naivalurua acknowledged India’s continued support in advancing Fiji’s security and digital transformation priorities, while High Commissioner Mehta praised Fiji’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and regional partnerships.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared vision of building a safer, more secure and digitally resilient future, not only for their respective nations but also for the broader Pacific region.
The discussions come as Fiji and India continue to expand engagement across development, education, technology and governance, underpinned by a longstanding friendship and increasing regional cooperation.
