In Tasmania, Labor won two of the six senators, the Liberals two, the Greens one and Jacqui Lambie was re-elected, with no change in standings from 2019.
Officials only noticed it was missing during a routine recount last week as part of the mandatory second count of all House of Representatives ballot papers.

It is reported that the first tally was conducted in the presence of Liberal scrutineers and signed off at 10.30pm, while the later revision occurred after most scrutineers had left.
With 14 seats still in doubt late into the night, Labor appeared to be headed for a commanding majority—more than double the Coalition’s projected seat count.
“We have strongly raised the matter with Australian authorities and urged them to take immediate action to recover the missing statue and hold the culprits accountable.”
Capacity constraints remain binding. Demand is too strong. And without changes to fiscal and structural policy, interest rates will remain the primary lever — regardless of the political cost.
