At 1.9, Indian women score higher than women in the United States (1.71), Canada (0.97), and the United Kingdom (0.90) — countries long regarded as frontrunners in technology talent.

The appointments were announced by Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchwey as the organisation strengthens its leadership team ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda later this year.
