Two Indian-origin delivery truck drivers have fought off an alleged attempted armed carjacking at a service station car park in Melbourne’s east, with the attackers fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle.
The confrontation unfolded in Scoresby, where witnesses filmed the incident as it escalated into a physical struggle between the drivers and two would-be thieves.

Footage circulating online shows a delivery driver being confronted by two men who allegedly demanded the keys to his truck.
Witnesses reported the pair directed racial abuse at the driver before the situation turned violent.

Despite being outnumbered, the driver resisted and a co-worker soon joined the altercation. The pair were seen grappling with the alleged offenders, at one point using a spirit level during the scuffle. The confrontation continued as the suspects attempted to retreat to a nearby vehicle.
Victoria Police said no serious injuries were reported. The two alleged offenders fled the scene in a red Subaru, travelling southbound on EastLink.

A bystander who shared video of the incident on social media said the driver had been on a lunch break when he was approached allegedly racially abused and threatened.
The post described how the driver initially tried to ignore the men before they allegedly became aggressive and demanded his keys.

Investigators are continuing to review footage and appeal for information as they work to identify those involved.
Police say the suspects remain on the run.
