Speaking at the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Business Round Table and Diwali Dinner, Mr Gadkari said "We want to make mass traffic transport on electric, there is a huge potential in India for new technology, innovation, new research and investment".
Indian Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who is on a three-day official visit to Australia also conveyed his best wishes to the Indian Diaspora on the occasion of Diwali celebrations at New South Wales Parliament (NSW) organised by the Hindu Council of Australia.
The crash killed 42-year-old mother Nancy Lefrançois and her 11-year-old son Loïc Chevalier, who were travelling in a passenger vehicle struck in the collision.
