Piyush Mishra — actor, lyricist, playwright, and for much of his career a prominent voice associated with progressive cultural politics — has said plainly that Dhurandhar is cinema, not propaganda.
The film, released worldwide on 19 March to coincide with festivals including Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid, is the second instalment in Dhar’s spy-action franchise.
Globally, the film has amassed approximately A$211 million (INR 1,240 crore), including A$3,494,854 from the Australian box office, becoming the only non-multilingual Indian film to enter the prestigious 1,000-crore club
The crash killed 42-year-old mother Nancy Lefrançois and her 11-year-old son Loïc Chevalier, who were travelling in a passenger vehicle struck in the collision.
