The appointments were announced by Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchwey as the organisation strengthens its leadership team ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Antigua and Barbuda later this year.
Across Australia, the top five international visitor markets in the year ending March 2026 were New Zealand, China, the United Kingdom, the United States and India.
The expansion comes alongside a broader package of increases to social security payments and family assistance measures that will take effect from July 1.
