Victoria Police are investigating a targeted shooting in Melbourne’s north after a house was fired upon in Craigieburn earlier this week.

Officers from the Fawkner Divisional Response Unit said the incident occurred on October 24, just before 1 pm, when an unknown offender allegedly exited a black Land Rover and fired three shots towards a property on Elmwood Place.

Police said no one was home at the time of the shooting and no injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the incident was deliberate and targeted, rather than random.

The offender is described as a male wearing a black hooded jumper, black face mask or balaclava, black tracksuit pants with a grey waistband, and black shoes with white soles.

He is alleged to have fled the scene on foot in a southerly direction after the shooting.

Police have released a vision of the suspect and are appealing for public assistance to identify the individual and the vehicle involved.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a report anonymously online via crimestoppersvic.com.au.
